Damascus Zhorat is a traditional Syrian herbal tea inspired by Syria’s lush gardens and landscape. It is made from a carefully selected blend of dried flowers and herbs, offering a soothing, naturally relaxing infusion with floral and aromatic notes.
The tea originates from the area around Damascus and contains no less than 11 different flowers and herbs: Damask rose petals, chamomile, lemon balm, thyme flowers, lavender, anise, fennel, sage, marjoram, rosemary, and liquorice root.
Damascus Zhorat is traditionally enjoyed for relaxation and well-being and can be savored hot or cold, plain or with a touch of honey. Each cup brings a taste of Syrian heritage and the beauty of Damascus, offering a sensory journey to the heart of the Levant. The tea is caffeine-free.
The tea is produced by one of the oldest and most traditional companies, Zhorat Al-Zarkawi, in Damascus. We import the tea in collaboration with the start-up company Levantina Global, which was founded by former employees of the White Helmets.
Trade contributes to income and work in Syria, where up to 90% of the population lives in poverty after more than 10 years of war and oppression.
